Material: Brass
Function & Application: Used to stop and open the fuel supply to the carburettors in a classic car. Once the carburettors are empty, the LPG system can take over the fuel supply to the engine.
The petrol shut-off valve is Normally Closed, ie it is necessary to electrically energize the coil to open it (let petrol through). In addition, the petrol shut-off valve can be opened manually (electric coil inoperative).
TIP!
Use an electric fuel pump instead of the mechanical pump on the engine. This allows the carburettors to be filled quickly and a long restart is not necessary at a petrol start.
