Assemble the mounting rings in combination with corner strip (or other construction material) into a sturdy and well-fitting tank frame for your vapor tank and vehicle. When installing (welding) the mounting rings onto the corner strip, make sure that the rings are in the closed position (as they hold the gas tank.) Otherwise, the corner strip may not be at the correct angle to the rings.
Pay attention to the position and therefore the marking on the gas tank. And also pay close attention to the position of the flanges of the rings in relation to the tank fittings (tank cabinet), so that the incoming and outgoing pipes are not blocked. Use a sufficient number of bolts of the correct quality for a sufficiently strong construction. (see INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS on the appendices tab on this page)
After the tank frame is completely prepared and to size, apply a coating and then apply the adhesive insulation.
The gas tank must not make metallic contact with the tank frame. Therefore, use the supplied adhesive insulation and apply it to the inside of the mounting rings.
Position the gas tank on the prepared tank frame. (To do this, bend the rings slightly open.) Pay attention to the mark (cross with arrow) on the gas tank for correct positioning for proper functioning of the gas tank. The mark indicates the top and the horizontal center plane.
No weakenings may be made in the mounting rings, for example by making a hole.
Use and respect the National INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS / EN 1949 (G607) GUIDELINES for a correct installation. (see the attachments tab on this page)
Coating:
The mounting rings (and corner strip) are untreated. We recommend that they be provided with a protective coating after assembly and adjustments, such as the installation of additional mounting holes and mounting brackets. Then apply the adhesive insulation.
Provide the entire tank installation with a protective coating as soon as everything is properly fixed. This is particularly important in the case of substructure. This extends the life of the tank and structure. Preferably repeat this annually.
Have the installation of the gas tank and the assembly of the tank frame done by an expert person or specialist company.
Have the entire installation inspected by a competent authority.
