Including Wet gas filter and O-rings: Liquid gas filter element for the Prins eVP Type 2 Evaporator. This filter is used to filter hard particles (such as sand and iron) from the liquid LPG before it enters the evaporator.

TIP! Replace the drying gas filter in good time and regularly:
A dry gas filter lasts an average of up to 20,000 km. Preferably replace the filter sooner. This replacement period applies to an average 4 cyl. engine. Larger engines use more gas, so the gas filter will also need to be replaced sooner. It is also possible that at some fill-ups the LPG contains a lot of contamination (with oil and fats), making it necessary to replace the filter earlier. Keep this in mind. The timely replacement / cleaning of the gas filter is necessary to prevent contamination of the gas system and gas injectors.

 
NB! Determine which size you need before ordering! Filters are available in different sizes. Each suitable for the corresponding internal gas hose diameter. Make sure you order the right size!

It is about the hose barb diameter (not the collar) on the filter = the inner diameter of the gas hose. The diameter of the gas hose is also indicated on the gas hose for identification with, for example, "DN14", "ID=14" or Ø14. Or else use a caliper to measure it.

Background information regarding problem with gas injectors:

In most cases, the problem is caused by the injectors being contaminated with paraffin (oils and fats from the LPG). The dry gas filter in front of the injectors must ensure that the injectors do not become dirty quickly. This filter eventually becomes saturated and must therefore be replaced in time. If the filter is not replaced, the paraffin will no longer be captured and end up in the injectors.
It's not like the injectors are leaking or won't open. But the opening and closing times are no longer correct. The injectors stay open longer than they should, so that too much fuel is dosed. (too rich mixture = high CO)
The injectors will then deviate, especially with short injection times (low engine load). The engine starts to run messy and there are too large differences between the injectors. Cleaning the injectors is often pointless, because too much wear has often occurred in the injector, as a result of which the guide of the plunger (sealing disk) no longer has the correct fit. The plunger then no longer moves up and down smoothly.

If the injectors are replaced without changing the filter, the new injectors will quickly become fouled again.
